We’re very excited to announce the return of our awesome Family Adventure Day!

Please read the important information below to read about the TICKET ONLY entry to this years event ***ON SALE NOW***

Those of you that have been in previous years will know that it is an amazing opportunity to try out some of the fantastic outdoor activities that the brilliant Eaton Vale Outdoor Activity Centre has to offer – from Family Canoeing to Archery, Axe Throwing and Air Rifle Shooting to High/Low Ropes, and Trapeze, Catapult Shooting, Go Karts and even Grass Sledging!

New for 2021 will be the Indoor Climbing Wall and a Caving experience in a bus!

This year we will also have a Street Food area with a few different vendors, in place of our usual BBQ – more details to follow soon.

Teas, coffees and cakes will, of course, be on sale in our cafe area.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Due to the need to consider the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic this years event will be run differently to previous years. Whist all of the main activities will be running, we will not have some of the smaller side-stalls that we have in previous years.

The day will be split into two sessions – one morning session and then one afternoon session, each of 4 hours duration. There will not be an ‘all day’ option. This is to ensure that we can allow the maximum number of people to enjoy participating in the day as possible. There will be a maximum number of participants per session and as such this years event will be PRE-ORDERED TICKET ENTRY ONLY.

Please read further to see what each ticket includes.

TICKETS:

EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS NEEDS A TICKET.

These are only available in advance.

There will be three types of ticket available for each session (either AM or PM):

– ALL ACTIVITY PARTICIPANT TICKET (including a family canoeing slot)

This ticket costs £18.95 per participant. and allows you take part in all of the main activites as many times as you like. It also includes a canoeing slot for the participant and up to two accompaining adults (i.e. one family).

Accompanying adults do not need this ticket unless they intend to partake in other activities on the day – otherwise they need a ‘non-participant ticket’.

– PARTICIPANT TICKET NOT INCLUDING CANOEING

This ticket costs £15.50. It allows you to take part in all of the main activities except canoeing.

– NON-PARTICIPANT TICKET

This ticket has no charge, donations on the day would be greatly appreciated.

This for those who won’t be taking part in any of the main activities – including all adults accompanying children (all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult) and children who do not meet the age/size restrictions (see below).

ACTIVITIES

The activities planned for this years event are as follows:

Main activities (Participant ticket required):

Air Rifles
Archery
Canoeing
Cave Bus
Climbing
Climbing Challenge
Tomahawk Throwing
Trapeze

Additional Activities:

Bouncy Castle (TBC)
Fire Lighting
Games Tent
Grass Sledges
Go Karts
Low Ropes
Puzzle Challenge
Pioneering
Shelter Building
Soft play (TBC)

AGE / SIZE RESTRICTIONS

As with every year, there are some minimum age/height/size restrictions which apply to activities, for safety reasons.

As such, Eaton Vale have advised that all of the main ‘Participant Ticket’ activities are suitable only for ages 5 and up. Children who are small for their age may not be big enough for some activities – this will always be the decision of the instructor in charge of an activity.

Two activities have higher age limits. They are:

Trapeze (High Ropes) = Age 7
Air Rifles = Age 10

Children under the age of 5 are very welcome to join us with a ‘Non-Participant Ticket’ and will be able to take part in any of the additional activities available on the day that are deemed suitable for younger children.

CANOEING:

As Family Canoeing is very popular and also has limited capacity, we are selling a limited number of tickets per session that include canoeing, to ensure that all ticket holders get a turn.

If you purchase an ALL ACTIVITY ticket that includes canoeing, upon arrival at the event you will be given a time window to join the queue for canoeing. This is to minimise the wait to get onto the water and also ensure that social distancing is possible in the queue (if necessary).

All children under 13 MUST be accompanied by an adult (either in the canoe or at the waters edge). The accompanying adult DOES NOT require a participant ticket if they accompany the child in the canoe, however any adult who would like to canoe without a child must have an appropriate participant ticket.

FOOD & DRINK

We will have tea, coffee & soft drinks on sale in our cafe area, along with a lovely selection of cakes and bakes.

This year we will also have a small area for street food vendors who will be selling their own goods.

Picnics are welcome too!

DOGS

Please note that Eaton Vale is now a dog free site.

PARKING & DISABLED ACCESS

Please park only in the designated car park on site – this is included in the price of your ticket – or even better, arrive on foot, by bike or by public transport.

Disabled parking is available and the main buildings of the site are accesible, however please note that most of the activities are located in areas that are hilly with trees and soft ground.
